Hello friend! I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Lauren, a mom and doula in Martinsburg, WV. I approach labor as one of a woman’s most meaningful experiences. It will always be challenging, but I believe it can also be full of joy. I’m here to help families have a happy birth.

About Lauren

I developed a passion for birth during my first pregnancy after reading snippets of Ina May Gaskin’s Guide to Childbirth. Her book inspired me to think of the mother as the primary agent in birth. Many women experience births in which they are treated as obstacles to a good outcome. I wanted myself and other women to give birth feeling empowered, respected, and joyful.

After delivering my firstborn, I wanted to help others enjoy what I did: a respectful, meaningful, and happy birth. I am training with Childbirth International and now serve families in Northern VA and the Eastern Panhandle of WV.

I live in Martinsburg, WV, with my husband and two kids. I enjoy being outside, cooking, baking, and singing with our choir at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Winchester, VA.

Consultation & Booking

Send me a message and we’ll schedule a consultation to determine what doula support would look like for you!

Prenatal Meetings

At our prenatal meetings, we will discuss what a happy birth looks like for you. We will develop a birth plan to help you meet those goals.

Labor and Postpartum Support

Once you go into labor, I will be with you until your baby arrives. I will also help you through early-postpartum.
